The sanctum sanctorum can be entered by climbing up two steps of the temple door. The sanctum is a small hall. The idol of the Goddess is seated on a temple like structure made of white marble in the middle of the hall. The circumambulation is done around the idol in the same hall. On the right hand corner is a small wooden temple dedicated to Lord Ayyappa. Just behind this there is framed picture of the stone inscription which was found in the Powai Lake. A framed picture of the Dhyan-mantra from the sixth chapter of the holy book called Durga Saptshati, which refers to Devi Padmavati, also hangs on this wall.
