Aarti

Worship of Lord Adi Kesava and his consort Sri Mayuravalli Thayar is done six times a day, starting from 6:30 in the morning up to 8:00 in the evening. It is called Nitya Shada Kala Aradhana, or the worship that is offered six times a day. It includes the following:
1. Vishwaroopa Puja – at 6:30 am
2. Ushathakalam – at 8:30 am
3. Kalasanthi – at 11:30 am
4. Saya Rakshai – at 6:00 pm
5. Ardha Jamam – at 7:30 pm
6. Sayana – at 8:30 pm
There are three steps which are followed during each of these worships. The first is the decoration (Alankaram) of the deity, which is followed by making the food offering (Naivedyam) and then is the waving of lamps (Deepa Aradhana).
