Every day in the morning a fire sacrifice or a Yajna is performed in the Yagya Shala which is in the Kalyana Mandapa of the temple. Brahmins of any sect, including those of the Shaiva sect, can recite the Vedas in this Yajna. However, the divine songs known as Divya Prabandhams, which were composed by the Vaishnava Alwar saints, can only be sung by the Vaishnava priests.
