Deity

default

The main deity is Lord Kesava or Lord Vishnu. The image of the god is made in granite and he is depicted standing erect. He holds a conch (Shankha) in his upper right hand, a wheel (chakra) in his upper left hand. While his lower right hand is in the abhaya hasta pose, which symbolizes giving protection to his devotees, the lower left hand is in kati hasta pose, which is a relaxed pose but which also symbolizes that the deity will deliver the devotee from the bonds of illusion. There is no image of either of the two consorts of Lord Vishnu, Sridevi or Bhudevi here.
