Shringar

The deity is ritually bathed with either water or with Panchamrutha on special occasions and festivals. The latter is made of milk, yoghurt, ghee, honey, sugar. After this, new or freshly washed clothes are offered to the deity, along with the sacred thread or the Yajnopavita, made by the priest at his home. Sandal paste is applied on the forehead. The temple has ornaments of the deity which have been there for centuries. They are kept at the house of the head priest.
