Various festivals are celebrated enthusiastically in the temple throughout the year. These are the following:
Dasara Celebration - At the Samadhi (Holy Tomb) of Bhide Bhatji, a pooja takes place at early morning and 2100 Boondi Ladus are distributed among the devotees on Dasara Day. All the drums, Shahnai etc. temple instruments are worshipped and the palanquin marches for simollanghan (Symbolic crossing of the outskirts) in the evening. The palanquin halts on the circum navigation path at the Shamee tree, followed by a pooja and the shamee leaves are looked as a symbol of gold. These leaves are offered to Lord Ganesh at the temple and the palanquin celebration gets over.
Ganesh Chaturthi - it is celebrated in August or September. During this, there are vibrant celebrations, prayers and feasting. An idol of Ganesha is carried out in a palanquin through the town, accompanied by a priest and drummers. Magh Month Celebrations – From the Magh Suddha Prathma to Magh Suddha Panchami there is Aarati, Mantrapushpa, and Keertan every night. On Magh Shuddh Shashthi there are cultural programs in the night. On Magh Shuddha Saptami the Mahaprasad is served at noon and cultural programs are held at night.
Bhadrapad Celebrations - From Bhadrapad shuddha pratipada to Panchami there is Aarati, Mantrapushpa and Keertan every night. Mahaprasad is given to the devotees on the auspicious day of Waman Dwadashi. On the fourth day of the Bhadrapad (Chaturthi) a palanquin with the silver image of Lord Ganesh is taken around the Pradakshinapath, by the seashore, and then the procession returns to the temple. On its route it stops for a while in front of the deity on all the four directions, where Arti, Mantrapushpa is performed and Prasad is distributed. When the silver image of Shree Ganesh is kept in the central place again the same process is repeated and prayer, for the benevolence of all the devotees, is offered.
Chaitra month Celebrations - from Chaitra Shuddh pratipada to Vaishakh Shuddh Tritiya (Gudhipadava to Akshayytritiya), puja is performed every evening along with, Aarti, Mantra Pushp. Bhog and dakshina is offered at the feet of the deity and the Prasad is distributed.
Ashwin month celebrations – the Deepotsav (Festival of Lamps) is held from the first day Ashwin Shuddha Pornima to the full moon day (Tripuri Paurnima) Kartik Shuddha Pornima. During this time the Mahapuja of Shree Ganesh is performed every evening. The Deepmala or the pillar with vertical rows of lamps is lighted along with Aarti, Mantrapushpa, Prasad and Dakshina Vidhi is performed.
