The temple complex used to have an adjoining lake, which was 30 x 40 sq. m. in size on the eastern and southern side of the temple. This is said to have been dug by Nardulla in the early 19th century to counter water scarcity. However, the lake was filled up in the later years and the land is not a part of the temple complex now.
