The temple has been constructed on the South Indian style of temple architecture. The entrance is a multi-tier structure known as the Rajgopuram which was constructed in 1982. Each tier is profusely adorned with sculptures which are brightly painted. It is said to have been built by nearly 50 artisans from Tamil Nadu, who were well versed in temple architecture. They worked for nearly 18 months to complete the gopuram on time. There are five gold plated pots at the top of Rajagopuram, which are considered significant. It is said those people who cannot enter the temple due to time constraints or any other reason, can take a look at the pots and get absolved of all their sins.
