Deity

The followers of Sikhism don't believe in any form of God. For Sikhs, the Guru Granth Sahib (also called the Adi Granth), or the Holy Scripture is considered as the embodiment of all 5 Gurus and is of utmost importance. It is written in Gurmukhi script and consists of 1430 pages. It is placed in the sanctum area under a canopy and is decorated with expensive materials. Sikhs consider the Granth as their last living Guru, and they bow in front of the book till their forehead touches the ground.
