Salat (prayer)

In Islam, Salat is also known as Namaz. It is a way of communicating with the divine power. Muslims performs Salat five times (obligatory) a day which are Fajr (dawn prayer), Zhuhr (early afternoon prayer), Asr (late afternoon prayer), Maghrib (sunset prayer) and the last one Isha’a (night prayer). All the five time prayers are offered in the Masjid at the Dargah. At the time of prayer, the rituals and visit to the tomb stops and people perform Namaz, gathering after the Azaan (Islamic call to worship the God).
