Bahá'í Administrative Order

The Baha’is follow a well-structured administration, which was established by Baha’u’llah. There are no clergy or holy men in Baha’i. They are well categorized into a 3 tiered structure; local, national and international levels. The governing body, referred to as Spiritual Assembly has nine elected members, who are annually elected by a secret ballot. The whole process is devoid of any nominations or electioneering. Almost all matters related to the faith are discussed within this assembly with full frankness and conclusions are reached on spiritual principles. The supreme ruling body of the Baha’is is called the Universal House of Justice, which is situated on Mount Carmel in Haifa, Israel.

·        Baha’i Lotus Temple trust is entrusted with the overall management of temple affairs which include both minor and major repairs, the safety of the visitors, the commencement of       

         proper prayers, etc.
