The Red temple is dedicated to the 23rd Tirthankara or Lord Parshvnath. Apart from the main shrine, the temple contains various other shrines which are dedicated to Lord Adinath, who was the first Tirthankara of the Jainism and to Lord Mahavira who was the 24th Tirthankara. These idols are made of marble and as per Digambara Jain rules, the images are plain (and always carved as naked figures) without any sort of decoration and are depicted with downcast eyes.
