Hazratbal Shrine, Srinagar
Geographical Location: Hazratbal Shrine is located in the city of Srinagar in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. It houses the sacred hair of Prophet Muhammad's beard or the Moi-e-Muqqadas. Also known as Aasar-i-Sharif, Madinat-us-Sani, or Dargah Sharif, this is one of the most revered shrines in Kashmir.

One can also visit the other landmarks of Srinagar such as the Jama Masjid, which is a famous mosque, more than 600 years old. Sultan Sikandar Shah Kashmiri Shahmiri had built it in 1394 AD. Shalimar Bagh Mughal Garden is the largest garden of Srinagar, which was built in 1619 AD by the Mughal Emperor, Jahangir, for his wife Nur Jahan. The exceptionally well laid out garden covers an area of 12.4 hectares.

Accessibility route: The nearest airport to reach the Hazratbal Shrine is the Srinagar International Airport, also known as the Sheikh-ul-Alam Airport. It is located at a distance of 12 km north of Srinagar. There is no direct train to Srinagar, but one can get off at the nearest station, the Jammu Tawi station, and from there take a bus, taxi or an auto rickshaw to reach the Shrine. Local transport in the city of Srinagar is available at reasonable rates.
