Offerings

The shrine is a place of worship for the followers of Islam, who assemble here to offer salat or prayers. Prayers are offered five times a day in the Shrine. These are Fajr (dawn prayer), Zhuhr (early afternoon prayer), Asr (late afternoon prayer), Maghrib (sunset prayer) and the last one Isha’a (night prayer). All the five-time prayers are offered in the Jamaat Khana Masjid of the Dargah. After the prayer 'Shirni' (sweet sugar balls) is given to the devotees in the form of Tabarruk (blessed food).

People also offer chadar (cloth sheet), flowers and incense sticks at the tomb of the saint.

Devotees tie sacred red thread (roli) on the marble screens (jalis) as a mark of their respect and belief that this would urge the saint to fulfill their wishes at the earliest. After the fulfilment of the wish devotees come to the Dargah and remove one of the threads.
