The tomb is a marble structure with a big round dome on the top. Inside it lies the grave of Hazrat Nizamuddin in a dark chamber wrapped in decorated Chaddar (rug) and flowers. The walls of Nizamuddin’s tomb has latticework screens or jaalis. The grave is surrounded by an aluminium grill and at its four corners there are four marble vertical bars. The outer structure of the tomb of Nizamuddin is beautifully decorated with colourful flowers and leaves of various colours like red, green, yellow and blue. Qur’an verses and chandeliers enhance the beauty of the dargah. The fragrances of flowers and incense sticks makes the environment very devotional.
