Tomb of Ataga Khan:
Akbar ordered the construction of the tomb of Atgah Khan, which was built by Atgah Khan’s son, Mirza Aziz Kolkaltash. It is located right next to Hazrat Nizamuddin Dargah. It got completed in the year 1566-67 AD. It is made up of red sandstone from outside and marble has been used inside the Dargah. This medium-sized square tomb is one of the masterpieces of Mughal architecture. It is constructed by keeping in mind the importance of the man for whom the tomb was built, and is decorated as beautifully as possible. Qur’an verses are written on the red sandstone walls of the tomb. The dome is covered with blue and red stones which gives it a different and unique look. On one side it has a wooden door and on the other side it has screens (Jalis) which offers a view of the inside. The interior is constructed with coloured tiles and painted plasters. Inside lie the graves of Atgah Khan, his wife and his daughter.
Tomb of Jahanara Begum:
Jahanara Begum (Emperor Shah Jahan’s daughter) was buried in a simple and open-roofed grave, in keeping with her wishes. The grave is covered in grass with an inscription on it which says, "Let nothing cover my grave, save the green grass: for grass well suffices as a covering for the grave of the lowly". Beautifully carved latticework hides the tomb of the princess and several others who are buried besides her from the eyes of visitors and onlookers. It also has a splendid marble door.
Tomb of Mohammad Shah Rangila
The tomb of the Mughal Emperor Mohammad Shah Rangila (1702-1748 AD), houses his grave which is enclosed within a modest roofless chamber. Its marble door is sculpted with flowers and has a marble screen or a Jali. It lies to the southeast of Nizamuddin’s tomb. Although the grave has a simple slab of stone yet he is considered more fortunate than Humayun, as Rangila’s grave is closer to Nizamuddin’s grave.
Jamaat Khana Masjid:
On the west side of the tomb of Nizamuddin is a Masjid named Jammat Khana. It is built in red sandstone. It has three bays topped by a low dome. The arches of the Masjid are decorated with lotus bud carvings on the lines of the ‘Alai Darwaza’ at the Qutab complex. It was constructed by one of the sons of Alauddin Khilji. It is believed to be the oldest structure in the complex.
Baoli:
A large stepped well or a Baoli was built by Hazrat Nizamuddin Chishti himself. It is located at the northern gate of the enclosure of the Dargah. It is said that Nizamuddin started the work of digging it by his own hands. Due to this fact it is believed that even a drop of the water from this baoli can save anybody from the fire of hell. It is also believed that the water of baoli has healing powers.
