Hazrat Nizamuddin was the spiritual successor of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti of Ajmer. He was born in 1238 in Badayun, Uttar Pradesh. He travelled to Delhi to preach the Islam and finally settled down in the Ghiyaspur area of Delhi. He always believed in serving people irrespective of their cast, creed, and religion. During his lifetime, he had many followers like Amir Khusro, Muhammad Bin Tughlaq and Hazrat Nasiruddin Mahmud Chiragh Dehlavi. He took his last breath on 3rd April 1325. His Dargah was constructed by one of his avid followers, Muhammad Bin Tughlaq, a Sultan of the Tughlaq Dynasty.
