In the library there are the Kangyur and Tengyur, which are the commentaries and philosophy of Tibetan Buddhism. It has also preserved some of the priceless handwritten Buddhist manuscripts. There are also the Tibetan translations of famous works in Sanskrit such as Meghdoot by Kalidas and Nagamandala by Sriharsa.
