Social Cause

The monastery authorities take care of lamas and provide them free accommodation, clothing, and many other facilities.
Education/Schools: The monastery runs a primary and a secondary Buddhist School which have eight levels. The monks study recitation, calligraphy, grammar, poetry, recitation, philosophy and English. On the completion of the eight levels, monks can join the Ngagyur Nyingma College or continue to be trained in the main monastery.
Nagyur Nyingma College, a state-of-the-art institute, is one of the largest Buddhist Institutes which trains monks to preserve the unbroken lineage of teachings and passes them on to the next generation of practitioners. This institute provides education and research facilities.
Medicine: A primary health care clinic, known as Tsering Gatsal, has been set up on the monastery premises for the monks and the local community.
Food: Tormas are distributed among the visitors. There are a lot of food stalls in the monastery, but people have to pay for the food.
